Wesak festival May 2013

The Wesak Festival, as seen on these pictures, was the first public Buddhist cultural event organized by the Sri Lankan Buddhist Cultural Society e.V. .
Many visitors even those outside the society turned up to celebrate the Wesak festival with us.
Rented premises were used for this occasion.
Guests, visitors and members arranged and organized among themselves to provide for food and drinks.
The young adults took on the task of entertaining and looking after the younger children and carried out this task brilliantly.
Besides the organization of food and drinks visitors also ensured appropriate decoration and seating (cushions on the floor).

Many also agreed to lend their Buddha statues for this occasion. A big thanks goes out to all of you for this by the "Sri Lankan Buddhist Cultural Society e.V." Association!

Poson Poya festival June 2013

The Poson Poya Festival was the second public festival organized by our association.
Again numerous visitors turned up to take part in this event. Everything was well catered for even though we still did not have fixed premises.
This time a large hall was rented in ideal surroundings and the event was held in grand fashion.
One of the club members even took the trouble to make an illustrated presentation of the history of Poson Poya Festival (see Photo 1).
We would like to use this opportunity to thank him and everyone else for their wonderful contributions in making this event a success!
